Description
Russian T-72B Model 1990 MBT - Trumpeter 05564
The Soviet T-72 was one of the Warsaw Pact's finest MBTs and has seen service in over 40 countries. Designed by Leonid Kartsev-Valeri Venediktov in the late 1960s, it has been in production since 1973, with over 25,000 units made. The production continues to this day all over the world. The T-72's powerful 125mm main gun, innovative design features and durability created a shockwave throughout NATO. In 1979, the first modernized version, T-72A, arrived with upgraded armor and a laser rangefinder. Due to its autoloader 125mm gun, it is operated by only three crew members: driver, gunner and commander. This model kit with over 1290 plastic parts authenticates the Russian T-72B Model 1990 in 1/35 scale. The fully assembled model is 28.9cm long and 10.8cm wide.
